Parados Education exists to spark curiosity in generations to come. Through arts-led, place-based learning, we invite young people to attend closely to the living world, explore complex questions and find courage to act.

We work with quiet urgency. We regenerate and conserve; walk gently; listen deeply; reflect; take creative risks; and speak truth. We act with reciprocity and respect for cultural authority, and recognise and value the people who share their knowledge.

We envision a society that honours artists and regenerative practitioners as intellectually demanding, influential and honourable contributors. Young people can see and pursue respected futures in creative practice and in work that reshapes farming and food systems, protects natural environments, reduces consumption and plastic, advances sustainable policy, and works with Traditional Knowledge under the authority of its holders.

Parados will move toward short, purposeful projects. We will bring young people into inquiry with artists, practitioners, Elders and knowledge holders; combine making with research, discussion and experience on place; and create work that contributes to wider community conversations.

“Our family has had the privilege of being a part of Hayley Davis’ Parados Education this year. In that time my grandson has participated in many of Hayley's wonderful programs, ranging from story telling, drama, music, art, craft, dance, costume design etc all grounded in place, environment and nature. Hayley's creativity, energy and passion are the driving factors of the inspiring work she does with the children she works with.

The results are always amazing. The exhibitions, the performances, the self-published books, the costumes but above all the confidence, self-belief and inspired children are a joy to behold.

Hayley and her creation, Parados Education is an absolute gift to the children and families lucky enough to be a part of it. Giving this opportunity to other children and families needs to be a priority.”

“We absolutely loved the Earth & Ocean homeschool class with Hayley! The kids created such a beautiful range of art elements for the Cooloola Stories exhibition and Hayley was incredibly helpful, encouraging and full of wonderful ideas. She always goes above and beyond for the kids and their parents. I loved how she brought in different people each week to share their knowledge and inspire the class.

I would highly recommend this class to children from primary through to high school. Our daughter is in high school and absolutely loved it, she only wished more kids her age had joined! It was such a creative, inspiring and enjoyable experience. Thank you Hayley!”

“Our daughter wishes she could come to every program Hayley runs. For the past two years she has regularly attended two or three different programs each week, and we’ve seen such a wonderful change in her confidence and self-esteem over that time.

Through the Parados programs she has found a place where she feels comfortable expressing her ideas and being herself. She has sung, danced, acted, written plays and stories, and even written and illustrated her own book.

Watching her become more willing to share her ideas, perform in front of others and feel proud of what she creates has been wonderful. She absolutely loves coming and would happily be part of every program if she could!”
