Imaginative Storytelling

  • Parados Education Inc 591 East Deep Creek Road Cedar Pocket, Queensland, 4570 Australia (map)

Students will explore how artists, writers, filmmakers, playwrights, and storytellers transform curiosity into creative works. Drawing inspiration from fantasy, mythology, ancient history, the natural world, science, folklore, contemporary culture, and their own unique interests, participants will develop original projects across a range of creative forms.

Projects may include stage plays, novels, short stories, poetry, visual art exhibitions, animations, illustrated books, documentaries, podcasts, or entirely new formats that emerge through the creative process.

Through research, discussion, experimentation, sketchbooks, writing exercises, collaborative projects, and contemporary visual art practices, students will learn how ideas evolve from initial inspiration into finished works. Along the way, they will develop skills in creative thinking, storytelling, communication, project development, and artistic expression.

There are no limits to where an idea can begin. A fossil, a medieval manuscript, a strange creature in a dream, a local landscape, an ancient civilisation, a scientific discovery, or a family story can all become the starting point for a creative journey.

This program encourages independent thinking, imagination, and the confidence to create work that is thoughtful, ambitious, and uniquely their own.
