Led by registered teachers, Green Space Learning is a hands-on, project-based program where children learn through nature, sustainable design and collaboration.

Throughout the term, children will explore:

• Permaculture and sustainable living

• Sustainable design, planning and construction

• Geometry, measurement and real-world mathematics

• Art, design and practical problem-solving

• Group work, communication and shared decision-making

• Critical thinking, experimentation and reflection

• Opportunities to connect with First Nations educators and learn respectfully through local knowledge and perspectives

A key project will involve helping to restore the permaculture building at Cooroy Community Gardens. Children will contribute ideas, develop plans, measure materials and solve practical problems together. They will also help create a shared mural, bringing colour and their own stories to the space.

The program maintains a maximum ratio of one educator to 10 students. Educators hold current Blue Cards and CPR qualifications, and the program is covered by appropriate insurance.

Green Space Learning offers a supportive, mixed-age environment where children can develop practical skills, confidence, curiosity and a stronger relationship with the natural world and their community.

CRAFTERNOON

Creative Arts with LÉA

2:00–4:00PM — Ages 6–16 years

A hands-on creative arts program with Hayley and Maddie, exploring art, making, natural materials, creative projects and practical skills. Students will have the opportunity to experiment, collaborate and develop their own creative ideas in a relaxed outdoor setting.

Performing Arts with GRACE

1:30–3:30PM — Performing arts
3:30–5:30PM — Film Making 12+

A creative performing arts program with Grace, exploring drama, character development, performance skills and creating original plays. Students will work together to develop stories, characters and performances.
