Cooloola Stories
The Old Ambulance Station Gallery, Nambour | June 2026
Cooloola Stories was an immersive exhibition created by young artists exploring the landscapes, waterways, wildlife and stories of the Cooloola region.
Developed through Parados Education’s Earth & Ocean Storytellers program, young people worked alongside artists, environmental educators and community practitioners through field trips, camps and creative workshops. Their experiences of forests, dunes, rivers and coastline became the starting point for visual art, sound, film and storytelling.
The resulting exhibition brought together works created across the program, exploring connection to place, environmental observation, memory and the relationships between people and the natural world.
Presented at The Old Ambulance Station Gallery in Nambour, the exhibition invited the wider community into the young artists’ learning and creative process, alongside a program of participatory community workshops.
